| The Premise Traditional classroom learning has its limits. It is often compared to a two dimensional image that is limited in both scope and depth, but still attempts and oftentimes fails to reproduce realistic situations, stifling the learning process. Coupling the classroom with experiential learning, however, creates a multi-dimensional environment that significantly leverages the learning process. Several successful experiential learning initiatives have served to differentiate the educational process at the UConn School of Business - allowing students to acquire a business education like no other. These include the MBA Integration Project, the Student Managed Investment Fund, and edgelab, the School's unique business solutions partnership with General Electric. The School's newest bold and dynamic multi-partner educational initiative is The SS&C Technologies Financial Accelerator.

 | "The Financial Accelerator serves as a real-world lab for our faculty's ground-breaking research and provides our business partners with actual solutions to market challenges that have been tested using real market data. For students, not only is the experience invaluable, but it can only be captured at UConn."
- Chinmoy Ghosh, Department Head of Finance, School of Business. |
